A FUNCTIONAL BEAUTY
At the heart of Brisbane’s bustling James Street, The Calile Hotel stands as a beacon of understated luxury and architectural clarity. Designed by the acclaimed Richards & Spence, this award-winning destination reimagines what a hotel can be, blending resort sensibilities with urban sophistication. Every one of its details was thoughtfully considered, and every material chosen for the ability to age gracefully and perform impeccably.
The Calile’s palette — sun-washed travertine, pale pink render, and brass detailing — calls for furnishings that echo the hotel’s architectural integrity without overpowering it. The 40/4 chair, with its timeless design by David Rowland, effortlessly complements this vision. The chair’s clean lines and classic silhouette integrate seamlessly into the hotel’s serene and sculptural interiors.
