At HOWE's headquarters in Middelfart, Denmark, the manufacturing occurs solely with the use of green energy. This means that furniture solutions that have been processed at HOWE headquarters have all been processed in a CO₂ reducing- and environmentally-friendly environment.

Annual environmental week
Every year HOWE is the host of an environmental week for its employees, where focus is on corporate social responsibility and how we, as individuals, can reduce our environmental effects.

Recycling of used mobile phones
At HOWE we encouraged our employees and our network to recycle their old mobile phones because this can help the gorillas in the wild. One of the biggest threats to gorillas is the illegal mining of coltan, a mineral used in mobile phones and many other electronic devices. Creative reuse of industrial waste
HOWE donates their industrial waste to an organization called ReMida. The purpose of ReMida is to ensure that industrial waste and other excess materials becomes a resource applicable in new creative ways.
All the donated material is used to challenge children as well as adults to create beautiful and imaginative expressions. This transformation supports innovation, creativity, imagination and learning processes.
