The future is unfolding
“HOWE had an urgent need for a “petite” multi-purpose table to be coherent with their existing space-saving tables. We ended up focusing entirely on a folding system, which we wanted to be innovative, Scandinavian and simplified in design – a sort of “back to basic” design concept."
Boris Berlin & Poul Christiansen
KOMPLOT Design looked to human nature as their departure point for designing Plico. Their inspiration was quite simply the way we fold our hands. Consequently, Plico transformed the folding table into a new, progressive table which could support a dynamic corporate culture in need of flexible, multi-functional furniture. Plico’s light elegant frame made it easy to match modern architectural interiors. It also concealed a unique, intuitive folding mechanism which made it easy to fold and carry. One push/pull enabled extremely simple, low and endless vertical stacking. Even more extreme (and impressive) was the flat stacking due to the staggered legs when folded, which measured only 7,8 cm.
The Plico folding table concept continues to be the ideal choice wherever flexibility is paramount, whether in a café, educational institution, training facility or wherever you simply need a table to go with your chair.
