To commemorate the 40 years' Jubilee of one of the most prominent iconic designs of the 20th century, the 40/4 chair, and to pay homage to its originator, David Rowland, we have created a special design event.
Prominent personalities from around the world have been invited to create their own 40/4 iconographic object, twisted of course around the standard 40/4 and its componentry.
The iconographic objects was exhibited at Scandinavian Furniture Fair i Copenhagen in May 04. They will also be exhibited at Orgatec in Cologne in october 2004. Take a look at the items below.
